The holidays are all about gathering around the table with the people you love — and nothing brings people together like honey. Here are five of our favorite holiday recipes, each featuring American Honey from the Bouye family.
1. Honey-Glazed Holiday Ham
Ingredients: 1 bone-in ham (8-10 lbs), 1 cup American Honey Wildflower Honey, 1/2 cup brown sugar, 1/4 cup Dijon mustard, 2 tbsp apple cider vinegar, whole cloves
Instructions: Score the ham in a diamond pattern and stud with cloves. Bake at 325°F for 15 minutes per pound. Meanwhile, mix honey, brown sugar, mustard, and vinegar. Brush the glaze on during the last 30 minutes of baking, reapplying every 10 minutes. Let rest 15 minutes before carving.
2. Honey-Butter Cornbread
Ingredients: 1 cup cornmeal, 1 cup flour, 1/3 cup sugar, 1 tsp baking powder, 1/2 tsp salt, 1 cup buttermilk, 1/3 cup American Honey Clover Honey, 1/3 cup melted butter, 2 eggs
Instructions: Mix dry ingredients. Whisk wet ingredients separately. Combine and pour into a greased 9x9 pan. Bake at 400°F for 20-25 minutes until golden. Brush top with extra honey-butter while warm.
3. Orange Blossom Honey Pumpkin Pie
Replace the sugar in your favorite pumpkin pie recipe with American Honey Orange Blossom Honey for a brighter, more complex flavor. The floral notes of the orange blossom honey elevate the pumpkin and spice in ways regular sugar simply cannot.
4. Buckwheat Honey Chocolate Truffles
The deep, malty flavor of Buckwheat Honey pairs beautifully with dark chocolate. Mix 1/2 cup heavy cream, 12 oz dark chocolate, 2 tbsp Buckwheat Honey, and a pinch of sea salt. Chill, roll, dust with cocoa powder.
5. Sage Honey Roasted Vegetables
Toss carrots, parsnips, and Brussels sprouts with olive oil, salt, pepper, and 3 tbsp American Honey Sage Honey. Roast at 425°F for 25-30 minutes until caramelized and tender. The Sage Honey adds an herbaceous depth that elevates everything.
Every recipe tastes better with real honey from a real beekeeping family. Happy cooking!
